Many might be wondering what this might mean for the future of the franchise. While this isn’t the first time that the Dungeons & Dragons team has provided a means to integrate the two games (free rules for playing D&D in the planes of Amonkhet, Innistrad, Kaladesh, and Zendikar have been available on Dungeon Masters Guild for some time), this would be the first time they were connected in an official way, with a full campaign setting book devoted to it. Ravnica is a plane of existence in the multiverse setting of Magic: The Gathering, another Wizards of the Coast franchise. 1 If the name sounds familiar, you aren’t mistaken. Though an official announcement wasn’t planned until tomorrow, a surprising Amazon listing was discovered earlier today: Guildmasters’ Guide to Ravnica.
